2.18. Except where required by law, under no circumstances are we liable for any damage, loss or personal injury suffered by you, whether the same is caused by our negligence or otherwise.
2.19. For the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all visitors, participation in the Carnival rides and attractions is subject to the following conditions:
2.19.1. Ride-specific safety restrictions: Each attraction features its own safety requirements, which may include minimum or maximum height, age, accompaniment, and other restrictions. Admission to the Carnival or possession of e-tokens does not guarantee eligibility or access to every ride.
2.19.2. Height measurement: Official height boards are stationed at ride entrances to determine eligibility. Requirements apply to a guest’s actual standing height and cannot be artificially increased by footwear, headwear, or other items. Where a guest is close to the threshold or footwear significantly alters the measurement, Ride Operators may kindly request footwear to be removed for an accurate check.
2.19.3. Refusal to be measured: If a guest chooses not to comply with a reasonable request to be measured accurately (including the temporary removal of footwear where required), the Ride Operator may decline boarding.
2.19.4. Previous measurements do not override the current decision: Safety assessments are conducted independently at each ride. Being permitted to ride previously, being measured differently at another attraction, or riding on an earlier visit will not override the measurement or safety decision made at that specific ride.
2.19.5. Ride Operator’s authority: Ride Operators are dedicated to keeping everyone safe and reserve the right to refuse boarding or pause continued participation if, in their reasonable judgment, a guest does not meet the applicable safety requirements or cannot participate safely.
2.19.6. Parents/guardians cannot override safety restrictions: While we warmly welcome families, consent, permission, or accompaniment from a parent, guardian, or supervising companion cannot waive or override any ride's height, age, restraint, or safety criteria.
2.19.7. Compliance with ride instructions: Guests must follow all instructions given by Ride Operators and displayed on safety signage at all times, including directions relating to queuing, boarding, seating position, safety restraints, and entering or leaving the ride.
2.19.8. Unsafe behaviour: To maintain a safe and fun environment for all, unsafe, disruptive, or aggressive behaviour is strictly prohibited. Guests who fail to follow safety instructions or whose actions could endanger themselves, other visitors, or staff may be refused boarding or asked to leave the attraction.
2.19.9. Loose articles: For the safety of riders and spectators below, loose items—including mobile phones, cameras, bags, umbrellas, and accessories—are strictly prohibited on rides. Guests must securely store all loose articles or leave them with a non-riding companion before boarding as instructed.
2.19.10. Guest suitability: Guests should review all safety information and health advisories displayed at each attraction before joining the queue. Please refrain from riding if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, back/neck issues, heart conditions, pregnancy, or any circumstance that may prevent safe participation.
2.20. Participation in Carnival Games is subject to the following terms and conditions:
2.20.1. Game rules and guidelines: Specific rules, scoring criteria, and prize tiers are clearly displayed at each individual game booth. Guests are encouraged to read and understand these guidelines before commencing play.
2.20.2. Compliance with Game Staff instructions: To ensure fair and enjoyable gameplay for all, guests must follow all directions given by Carnival Game Staff at all times. Failure to comply with staff instructions may result in the immediate suspension or termination of play without refund.
2.20.3. Game Staff and Organiser’s authority: In the event of any dispute regarding gameplay, rules interpretation, scoring, or prize qualification, the decision of the Game Staff and Carnival management shall be final and binding.
2.20.4. Marked boundaries and red lines: Many game booths feature a designated boundary line (such as a red line) that players must remain behind during play. This line ensures a fair and equal winning opportunity for all guests regardless of height or physical reach. Stepping on, crossing, or leaning over the line may void the attempt.
2.20.5. Fair play, prohibited conduct, and termination: Cheating, tampering with game equipment, rule violations, unsafe actions, or aggressive behaviour towards staff or other visitors are strictly prohibited. Game Staff reserve the right to immediately terminate play without refund or prize award, and offending guests may be asked to leave the Carnival venue.
2.20.6. Prize inspection and reporting: Guests are kindly requested to inspect their won prizes for any defects or issues before leaving the game booth. Any issues should be reported immediately to the Game Staff at the game booth so they can assist. Requests made after leaving the booth area cannot be entertained.
2.20.7. Token deduction and non-refundability: E-tokens are deducted via the card reader prior to gameplay. Once tokens have been processed and game play has started, transactions cannot be cancelled, reversed, or refunded.
2.21. Lost and found items will only be kept by the Organiser for up to a maximum of one week from the date they are reported or received. Visitors are encouraged to contact the Carnival as soon as possible to arrange collection, as any unclaimed items may be disposed of after this period.
2.22. In the event of disputes, the Organiser reserves the right to make the final decision in respect of the dispute and any ticketing matters.
2.23. GCEG may revise and update these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice by posting the amended terms to the Website aiacarnival.com.
2.24. In the event there are inconsistencies between the English and Chinese Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
